Terms and conditions

1 The promoter
Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition.

2 Competition period
The competition starts on 14 July 2023 and ends at midnight on 31 July 2023 (competition period).

3 Who can and cannot participate in the competition
3.1 A participant (you, your) must:
3.1.1 be a business owner who works in your business full time, and your business must operate in South Africa only;
3.1.2 be 18 years or older;
3.1.3 have a valid South African identity document, card or passport;
3.1.4 be a registered member of SimplyBiz; and
3.1.5 have completed all questions on the online entry form, which you can find at https://simplybiz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/16949176702481.
3.2 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors may not participate in the competition.

4 How to enter
To stand a chance to win the prize, you must during the competition period:
4.1 log in to SimplyBiz or, if you are not already a member, register for SimplyBiz;
4.2 complete and submit the online entry form; and
4.3 accept these terms and conditions.

5 The prize
Five winners will each receive a Mecer solar inverter bundle valued at R12 000, consisting of a Mecer 1 kW 12 V 100 A Bat Pure Sine Wave Inverter with a 100 Ah battery, 360 W solar charge controller and two 160 W PV solar panels.

6 Selection of the winners
6.1 The random computer-generated draw to select the winners will be recorded and will take place on 2 August 2023 via Microsoft Teams.
6.2 The winners will be notified within five business days of the draw, via email, at the address on our records.
6.3 The prize will be forfeited should we, after the third attempt, be unable to reach you.
6.4 The winners will only receive the prize once we have verified and confirmed their details, as well as compliance with these terms and conditions.
6.5 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.
6.6 Our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.
6.7 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here, and specifically the costs of installation, are excluded.
6.8 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.
6.9 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.
6.10 We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else, and we will not replace it with cash.
6.11 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.
6.12 We reserve the right to replace the prize with another of similar commercial value at any time.
6.13 The inverters and PylonTech batteries must be installed by a qualified electrician with an authorised certificate of compliance to ensure correct installation and warranty cover.
6.14 The following warranty cover periods apply:
6.14.1 The supplier’s standard warranty: One year
6.14.2 Solar PV: Five years
6.14.3 Vision lead acid battery: One year
6.14.4 MECER inverters: Two years
6.14.5 100 Ah battery: Six months

7 General
7.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any competition material, is part of these terms and conditions.
7.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
7.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at simplybiz.co.za throughout the competition period.
7.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.
7.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.
7.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.
7.7 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
