Business registration

    Good afternoon Anette,

There is quite a lot of implications in either way you choose. Firstly the size of your business matters. If you register with CIPC and qualify for a Small Business Corporation, tax wise you will benefit.

But if you don't qualify for a SBC, then being registered could be more expensive tax wise, plus there are more regulations to adhere to, and those regulations do have cost like annual returns to CIPC, financials annually. And the initial cost of registration, name & business registration.

If you are a sole prop, it is simply Annette Francke trading as... No annual returns to CIPC, you will only need a detailed income statement and you might benefit taxwise but again i reiterate that the size of the business matters.
